Wattles
Wattles is in East Mere, in Devon. It's one of two lodges we built on our farmland. They're modern, not an old cottage. You're up on a bit of a slope so you get a good view out over the fields and the small lake in the valley. It's very quiet. At night, you can see a lot of stars.
The lodge sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, well kept and spacious. Outside there's a big decked terrace. It's enclosed with a gate, which is handy if you have dogs or kids.
There's a hedge between it and the other lodge, so it's private. There's a little path connecting them though, so you can book both if you're in a big group.
There's a pub about a mile away. The nearest shop is two miles. The Grand Western Canal is close for walks or bike rides. You can get boat trips there too.
For a day out, Knightshayes is a National Trust house about three miles away. Exeter is easy to get to. Both the north and south coasts are within about half an hour's drive. Exmoor and Dartmoor are also close.
Inside, it's open plan. You've got a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right there.
You can bring up to two dogs.
