Wattles
Wattles is in East Mere, Devon. It's one of two lodges built side by side on our farmland. The view looks out across the fields and a small lake down in the valley. It's very quiet up here, especially at night.
It sleeps six, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The space is open plan inside and there's a large deck outside. The deck has gates, which is useful if you have dogs or small children. There's a private hot tub on the deck. A tall hedge gives you privacy from the other lodge.
The local pub is about a mile away. The nearest shop is two miles. The Grand Western Canal and Country Park is nearby. It's good for walks and bike rides. You can get boat trips there too. Knightshayes, which is National Trust, is about three miles away. Killerton House and Powderham Castle are also close.
You can get to a lot from here in under half an hour. Exmoor, Dartmoor, and Exeter are all within that drive. The north coast beaches for surfing and the south coast towns are both easily reached.
For facilities, you have a wood burning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs.
