The Goyle
The Goyle is in East Mere, Devon. It's a detached farmhouse so you're on your own. It's a rural property, so you're looking at fields, not neighbours.
It sleeps nine, which is a lot. It only has three bedrooms, so you need to be okay with sharing. There are two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not old-fashioned.
The living area is open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've brought dogs or children. You can park right outside.
Facilities are what you'd expect: dishwasher, washing machine, bedding and towels included. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
There's a local pub within walking distance. They serve food. There's a golf course nearby and you can go horse riding locally if you arrange it in advance.
For days out, you're well placed. Dartmouth and the coast are about a 30-minute drive. Dartmoor is about the same in the other direction. The Dartmoor National Park website is useful for walking routes. For heritage sites and coastal walks, National Trust Devon has good information.
