Challette At Timbertops
This is Challette At Timbertops, over in Washfield in the Exe Valley. It's our holiday chalet, detached, on our land. You get all the peace and quiet. The views are over fields and countryside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom, all on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star grading, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's also wheelchair accessible, with wide doors and level access. The shower is a walk-in type.
It's a rural spot. The chalet sits in about an acre and a quarter of grounds. There's a patio area with garden furniture that's just for you. You can park right next to it, and there's an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need for a week. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We allow one well-behaved dog.
The nearest shop and pub are in the village, about three miles away. They're both fine. For a bigger shop, Tiverton is about twenty minutes by car.
You're really here for the walking and getting out. It's great for cycling and birdwatching right from the door. Exmoor is about half an hour's drive for more dramatic scenery and coast. The Devon coastlines, both north and south, are within reach for a day out. Exeter and Taunton are both under forty minutes if you want city things.
There are some good National Trust places nearby. Knightshayes Court is the closest, with its house and gardens. For planning trips, these sites are useful: National Trust Exmoor and Exmoor National Park.
