Pheasant
This is the Pheasant in Cove. It's a barn conversion. It sleeps four, two bedrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's a bit nicer inside.
The main living area is open plan. Patio doors go out to the garden. The sofa's comfortable. The floor downstairs is warmed up, which is good for colder mornings.
One bedroom is on the ground floor, next to a shower room. The stairs go up to a little landing area with a small sofa. The main bedroom is up there, with a king size bed and its own bathroom.
You get a private patio with a barbecue. The lawn is shared with the cottage next door. It looks out over a nature pond and some woods.
It's quiet here. The village is called Washfield, in the Exe Valley. There are footpaths from the door. The River Exe is nearby if you're into fishing.
Tiverton is about four miles away for shops and things. They've got a museum there. Knightshayes Court is close, it's National Trust.
Exmoor is about ten miles. Good for walks and seeing the landscape. Dulverton and Dunster are the main spots there.
Exeter or Taunton are roughly 35 minutes by car if you need a bigger town. The North Devon coast or the Jurassic Coast are both within an hour's drive for a day out.
What's here: parking, WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the upstairs bedroom isn't.
