Pheasant Cove

This is Pheasant. It's in the village of Cove, down a country lane near Washfield, north of Tiverton. It's a barn conversion that's been done up to a high standard. That's what the 5 Star rating means. Everything is new and works well.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. One bedroom and a shower room are on the ground floor. The main bedroom with a king size bed is upstairs and has its own bathroom. There's underfloor heating, which is good when the floor tiles are cold.

The living area is open plan. Patio doors go out to your own private patio with a barbecue. The garden lawn is shared with the cottage next door, but you won't be on top of each other. It looks out over a nature pond and some woods.

Upstairs, on the landing, there's a little two-seater sofa by a window. It's a quiet spot. Probably the sunniest place in the house.

It's a very quiet area. You can walk from the door along the River Exe. There's fly fishing if that's your thing. For a proper day out, Knightshayes Court is nearby and worth a visit. Tiverton is about four miles away for shops and things.

You're about a 30 minute drive from the edge of Exmoor. Dulverton is a nice little town up there. The north Devon coast, like Ilfracombe, is about an hour. Exeter and Taunton are also roughly 35 minutes if you need a city.

Facilities: it's got everything you'd expect from a place like this. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking right outside. The property is listed as wheelchair accessible. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
