East Dunster Deer Farm-The Linhay
East Dunster Deer Farm is in Cadeleigh. It's a proper deer farm, forty acres, so you'll see stags wandering about from the windows. The Linhay is one of the barns here that's been converted. It stands on its own.
It sleeps twelve, six bedrooms, five bathrooms. Most bedrooms have their own en-suite. It's rated 5 Star, so it's a high standard. Everything's there.
The access is an unmade farm track for about 100 yards. It's fine for normal cars, just a bit bumpy. You can park right outside.
The garden is enclosed and looks over the farm ponds and the valley. The views are good. There are sometimes otters in the ponds. The ponds themselves aren't fenced, but your garden is.
Inside, the living room has a wood burner. The kitchen has big picture windows. There's underfloor heating. It's spacious.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and dishwasher.
The local pub is about half a mile away. The nearest shop is in Tiverton, about six miles. Tiverton has supermarkets and shops. Exeter is nine miles away for bigger trips.
Bickleigh Mill is nearby for a cafe and a walk by the river. The Exmoor National Park is about a half hour drive for walking. The north Devon coast, for beaches like Westward Ho! or Woolacombe, is about an hour away.
If you're looking for days out, the National Trust has lots of properties nearby like Knightshayes. Tiverton Canal does boat trips.
