Moor Hen Shepherd Hut
Moor Hen Shepherd Hut is at Ponsford Ponds, just outside Cullompton. It's one of several properties on the site, but you get your own deck and space. It looks out over one of the fishing lakes.
It sleeps two. One room with a super king bed that can be split into two singles if needed. There's one shower room. It's a 5 Star rated place, which means it's well finished and has everything you need. It's glamping, so it's all in one open-plan space, but it's cleverly done.
You've got your own deck with a hot tub that looks over the water. The hut has a smart TV, a small kitchen with a dishwasher, and an electric fire for cooler nights. Bedding and towels are included.
If you fish, you can use the ponds on site at no extra cost. There's a main pond and a separate specimen pond a short walk away.
Cullompton is five minutes drive. It's a small town with shops and a few pubs. The M5 is about ten minutes away if you're coming from far off. Exeter is twenty minutes.
For days out, the Grand Western Canal is close for walks. The Blackdown Hills are right here for walking. The coast at places like Sidmouth is about half an hour away. Exmoor and Dartmoor are both under an hour's drive.
