Lambs Cottage
Lambs Cottage is on our farm near Culmstock. It's not a working farm, just a quiet spot in the Blackdown Hills. The cottage is all on one floor, converted from an old barn.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. You can take one dog. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not huge. The bedroom doors open straight out onto the fields at the back.
You get your own bit of garden at the front to sit out in. To get here, you drive 500 yards up our farm track. It's quiet. You won't see another house from the cottage.
Inside, it's one big living space with the kitchen at one end. There's a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a shower. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
Culmstock village is about a mile and three quarters away. They've got a pub that does food and a shop. Hemyock is two miles, same thing. For a bigger shop, Wellington or Honiton are about fifteen minutes by car. Honiton is good for antiques.
You can walk straight from the cottage onto footpaths. The roads around here are quiet for cycling.
For a day out, the coast is about forty minutes south. Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer. The Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site. Exmoor is about forty minutes west. Knightshayes Court is a National Trust property not far from Tiverton. Exeter is about half an hour's drive.
