Sparrows Nest is in Wrangway, on the Somerset side of the Blackdown Hills. It's attached to our house, but you have your own separate entrance. There's a door between us, but it's locked unless there's an emergency. You're welcome to use the big garden. We're usually in it too, with the chickens. The view looks out towards the Wellington Monument.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The kitchenette is small but it has what you need: a microwave, a mini-oven, and a hob. There's a woodburner for winter. The shower is in the bedroom, behind a screen. It's all on one level, so no stairs.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed but it's not totally escape-proof, so you'd need to keep an eye on them.
The nearest pub is about a mile's walk down the lane. It does food. The proper shop is in Wellington, which is two miles away. That's where you'll find supermarkets.
For walking, you can start right from the door. The Blackdown Hills are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wellington Monument is on the edge of the hills. If you drive for about half an hour, you can get onto Exmoor. The north Devon coast, like Minehead, is about 40 minutes. The south Devon coast around Exeter is a similar drive.
Taunton is 15 minutes away for bigger shops or a train station. The M5 is easy to get to from here.
What's here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, an enclosed patio area with a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside.
