Applebarrel Barn
Applebarrel Barn is out on the Dunkeswell Abbey estate. It's a converted barn, detached, so you're on your own. There's parking right outside the door.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The main living space is open plan, kitchen at one end and sitting area at the other. It's a big, airy room. The patio doors open out onto an enclosed garden, which is handy if you're bringing a dog.
Yes, you can bring one dog. There's a stairgate fitted and we can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. All the bedding and towels are included. You've got a washing machine and dishwasher.
The barn is surrounded by fields. It's very quiet out here. For a shop or a pub, you'll need to drive to the village of Dunkeswell itself, which is about five minutes away. The airport café at Dunkeswell Airfield does breakfasts and lunches.
If you like walking, you're right on the edge of the Blackdown Hills. For a day at the coast, the nearest proper beach is probably at Sidmouth, which is about a 25 minute drive. Honiton is about 15 minutes away for supermarkets and a few more places to eat.
