This is Old Highwood - Hog End. It's one of four cottages here, at the end of a row of converted barns. We're in Dunkeswell, right in the Blackdown Hills. The main thing is the view out the back: it's just fields and woods. It's very quiet.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with super king-size beds that can be split into twins if you need. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite shower rooms. It's all new inside. Open plan living downstairs.
Outside, there's a garden with a patio area and a six-person hot tub. It gets the sun most of the day. We've got chickens here, and you're welcome to fresh eggs if you like. Just let us know.
The stairs are quite steep. It's a barn conversion, so the ceilings are high downstairs, and that makes the staircase a bit narrow. Something to be aware of.
Dunkeswell village is about five minutes by car. There's a shop, a chippy, and an Indian restaurant. Honiton is ten minutes away for bigger shops and more places to eat.
You can drive to the coast at Beer or Sidmouth in about half an hour. The Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth is a good day out. For walking, the Blackdown Hills area itself is the main attraction. There are footpaths from the door.
What's here: a hot tub, a barbecue, parking, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, towels and bedding included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
