Teal Cottage
Teal Cottage is on the main road in Honiton. It's a thatched cottage from the 1600s. The thatch means the ceilings are low in places, and the stairs are typical cottage stairs, a bit steep and narrow.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is an en-suite. One of the bedrooms has a day bed with a trundle underneath, so it's two singles if you need it. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not modern-minimal.
You're right in the town. There's a small seating area out the back, but the main thing is you can walk to everything Honiton has. The bus goes past the front, and the train station is about ten minutes walk. There's private parking behind the cottage.
The kitchen has a Smeg range cooker and a wine fridge. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room has a TV with Freeview and a Firestick.
For local days out, the honiton.com site has good information. The Jurassic Coast is about twenty minutes drive. Sidmouth, Seaton, Lyme Regis are all within half an hour. The Blackdown Hills are right there for walking. If you want to go further, Exeter is about half an hour west, and Dartmoor is under an hour's drive.
