The Stables
The Stables is a single storey barn conversion near the village of Cotford, just outside Sidbury. It's one of six. You get your own bit of patio.
It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs. It’s open plan, sleeps two, and has a wet room. Everything's on one level and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean, warm, and does the job.
You share the site's 14 acres with the other barns. There are gardens, a sun terrace, and a heated outdoor swimming pool open in the summer. There's a tennis court too, and they provide the rackets and balls.
The facilities list is basically what you see: TV, washing machine, towels and bedding are included, and there's parking right outside. There's no separate bedroom, it's a studio layout.
Cotford itself is quiet. You're about a mile from a shop and a couple of pubs in Sidbury. Sidmouth and the coast are about ten minutes by car. It's good walking country. The East Devon National Landscape covers the area.
For a day out, Honiton is close for antiques. Exeter is about fifteen minutes away for bigger shops. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline nearby.
