The Carriages. It's a row of barn conversions near the village of Sidbury. We're close to Sidmouth, but it feels properly tucked away, up a lane off a lane.
You get one of the terraced places. It sleeps four, three bedrooms. They all have their own bathrooms, which is handy. Comes with a decent sized garden and parking right outside.
Inside it's open plan downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. You've got a dishwasher and washing machine. Everything works.
The main thing here is the grounds. There's 14 acres to wander. The heated outdoor pool is open in the summer, there's a tennis court, and the gardens are good for sitting out. It's quiet.
Sidmouth is about ten minutes in the car. That's your classic Devon seaside town with the beach and promenade. The local pub and shop are a mile or so down the road in Cotford.
For walking, you're on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coast path is nearby. Honiton's five miles for antiques. Exeter is about a 15 minute drive for bigger shops.
