The Milking Parlour is one of six converted barns here on the farm in Cotford, Devon. It's a terraced place, so you'll have neighbours either side, but it's quiet. The main thing is the space outside: there are 14 acres to wander around, with gardens and a sun terrace.
It sleeps three, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, but not luxury. The entrance and main rooms are wheelchair accessible, which we had to do for the grading, but it's worth knowing.
You get your own patio area. There's a shared heated outdoor swimming pool you can use in the summer months, with a shower and changing room. The shared tennis court is there too, with rackets and balls provided.
In the cottage, there's a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger on site and parking right outside. We can store bicycles.
The location is good if you like a mix of coast and country. It's about three and a half miles to the beach at Sidmouth. There's a shop and a couple of pubs a mile away in the village. Honiton is about ten minutes' drive for antiques and that sort of thing. Exeter is fifteen minutes away for bigger shops.
For walks, you're right on the edge of the East Devon National Landscape. The Jurassic Coast is nearby, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are several golf courses around, including Sidmouth.
No pets, I'm afraid. If you're coming with a bigger group, you can book all six barns together, which gives you use of a function suite.
