Robins Nest is a little annexe in the front garden of our house here in Newton Poppleford. It's detached, so it's just yours while you're here. The garden is enclosed, if you've got dogs.
It's a one bedroom place, so it sleeps two. The bedroom has a proper double bed with an ensuite shower room. The main space is all open plan. There's a sofa that folds out into a bed if you need it, but it's really meant for two people. Everything's on one level, so no stairs. We've put grab rails in the bathroom as it's aimed at being accessible.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well equipped. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a smart TV. The WiFi is decent. We've also got an electric vehicle charger on the drive.
The village has a shop and a couple of pubs, about five minutes' walk. The one on the main road does food. The Aylesbeare RSPB reserve starts at the end of the lane if you like a walk. RSPB Aylesbeare Common.
You're about a fifteen minute drive from the coast at Sidmouth. Branscombe and Seaton are along there too. The Jurassic Coast path is all along that stretch. Inland, Ottery St Mary is ten minutes away.
For a bigger trip, Dartmoor is about forty-five minutes drive. Exmoor is a bit further, maybe an hour and a half. There are a few National Trust places nearby if that's your thing. National Trust Devon and Jurassic Coast.
The facilities list is pretty complete. Bedding and towels are included. We take up to two well-behaved dogs. There's parking right outside the annexe.
