Blue Horizon
Blue Horizon is a bungalow on a quiet lane in Sidmouth. It's detached, so no shared walls. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have kids or a dog, but we don't take pets. Sorry about that.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. We renovated it a couple of years ago, so everything's fresh. There's level access inside, which is handy, but it's not suitable for wheelchairs because of the site layout.
The main thing is the view. You can see the sea from the living area. The garden gets the sun and it's private, surrounded by trees.
It's about a fifteen minute walk down into the town and to the beach. The walk back is uphill, just so you know. There's parking here at the house. If you have an electric car, you can't charge it here, but there are points down on the seafront.
Inside, it's straightforward. There's a wood burner for cooler evenings, a dishwasher, washing machine, and a coffee pod machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot and highchair in if you need them.
Sidmouth itself is a nice, quiet seaside town. The beach has a level esplanade which is good for a stroll. The South West Coast Path runs right through here if you like walking. A lot of the land around is looked after by the National Trust.
If you want to drive out, Exeter is about half an hour. Dartmoor is a bit further, maybe forty minutes. The Donkey Sanctuary is just outside Sidmouth.
