Deer View
This is Deer View. It's a holiday cottage we built in 2022 on our farm, just outside Ottery St Mary. It's on the edge of the town, so you get fields out the front instead of other houses. The views are good, especially over the deer fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with twins that can be zipped together. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's new and well-fitted. Everything works properly.
You get the whole garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. There's a hot tub out there. The deer from the farm fields do come right up to the fence sometimes. You can see the stag from the kitchen window.
Inside it's all open plan downstairs. Kitchen, living area, dining table. Patio doors straight out to the garden. There's a utility room with the washing machine. We've included bedding and towels. WiFi and TV are there. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
Ottery St Mary is a five minute drive, or a twenty minute walk. It's a proper town with shops, a few pubs, and a supermarket. The River Otter runs through it. The coast is about fifteen to twenty minutes drive. Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe, that way.
For walking, you're close to the South West Coast Path. If you want moors instead of sea, Dartmoor is half an hour away. Exeter is about twenty five minutes. We're in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so it's all quite pretty.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside the cottage.
