The Old Piggery

The Old Piggery is just outside Sidbury village in Devon. It's a detached conversion, so it's on its own. You have your own drive and a big terrace and lawn that gets the sun. The view from there is mainly across fields to the village church and the hills. It’s quiet.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s been done to a high standard, which is what the 5 Star rating is for. Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. It’s a modern open plan layout inside.

The village shop and a pub are about a five minute walk away. The pub serves food. You’re right on the edge of the East Devon National Landscape, so it’s good walking country straight from the door.

Sidmouth is about two miles away. That’s the nearest proper beach. It’s a nice seaside town on the Jurassic Coast. The coastal path runs through there if you like long walks. Other places like Beer, Branscombe and Budleigh Salterton are all within twenty minutes by car. They’re nice for a visit.

If you need a bigger shop, there’s a supermarket near Sidmouth. For a day out, Exeter is about half an hour’s drive. Dartmoor is roughly an hour away.

In terms of what’s here: there’s parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. There’s a wood burning stove for cooler evenings. Outside there’s a barbecue and enclosed garden. A cot and highchair are available if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Sorry, no pets.
