Grapevine is an end-terrace cottage in Branscombe. It overlooks fields at the back. The village itself is National Trust land, so it's quiet and very pretty.
The cottage sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a four star rating. It's comfortable and clean, with beams and a wood burner in the inglenook fireplace. The stairs are typical cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep and narrow.
There's a garden with seating. It's south facing and gets the sun. We see deer and birds of prey from the window sometimes.
Branscombe beach is about a twenty minute walk down the valley. There's a thatched cafe right on the sand that does good crab sandwiches. The village has a pub and a working forge you can visit.
You're on the edge of the South West Coast Path here. The walking is brilliant. Beer village is along the coast, and Sidmouth is a short drive away. Both are nice for a wander.
Further afield, Exeter is about a 40 minute drive if you need a city or the cathedral. The Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth is popular.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking. We provide bedding and towels. There's bike and kayak storage if you're bringing them. No pets, I'm afraid.
