Brandy's
This is Brandy's. It's a single-storey barn conversion on our sheep farm, just outside Colyton. You're on the ground floor the whole time. It's one of four holiday places here, but you've got your own decking area that's fenced in. The view from there is over our fields and the Axe Valley.
It's a 4 Star place, which is accurate. It sleeps two in one bedroom. The bed is a four-poster double. The en-suite bathroom has a jacuzzi bath.
Inside, it's all open plan except the bedroom. There's a wood burner in the living area. The heating and hot water come from a biomass boiler, and we've got solar panels. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine.
You can walk around the farm. There are about 150 acres of fields and woodland. There's a kids' play area and some picnic spots. You'll see the sheep.
The nearest pub is about a mile away in Colyton. The town has shops and is about a mile and a half. Seaton is on the coast, about three miles drive. It's a pebble beach. The Seaton Wetlands are good for a flat walk and birdwatching. The Seaton Tramway goes along the river from there.
Beer is about ten minutes drive west. Lyme Regis is about twenty minutes drive east, over the border in Dorset. Both are proper seaside towns. Further afield, you've got the East Devon AONB inland, and the Jurassic Coast.
What's here: bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. Wi-Fi and a TV. No pets.
