Valley View
Valley View is Apartment One, one of two ground-floor apartments in the same house. They're separate. You get your own front door. It's in Dalwood, which sits on the Blackdown Hills. The whole area is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star, which is accurate. It's clean and works fine. The furniture is old-fashioned, so don't expect anything modern. The shower is a walk-in type.
The big thing here is the garden. It's part of a 13 acre site, and you're welcome to walk around it. If you're into gardens, you'll like that. The main 10 acres are open to the public in summer.
You'll need a car. The local shop and pub are in the village, about a mile and three quarters away.
For days out, you're well placed. Axminster is a few minutes west. The Jurassic Coast is about a 20 minute drive south. You can be in Lyme Regis, Seaton, or Beer pretty easily. Sidmouth and its Donkey Sanctuary are within half an hour.
Exeter is a bit further, maybe 40 minutes depending on traffic. That's where you'll find the cathedral, proper shops, and so on.
Facilities: There's parking right outside. Wi-Fi, TV, washing machine. A woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Bedding is included. And we accept one dog.
