The Granary

The Granary is on our sheep farm just outside Colyton. It's a big converted barn, detached. You get views out over the fields towards Seaton.

It sleeps ten, in five bedrooms. They each have their own bathroom, which is handy with a big group. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, but it's a barn, so mind your head on some of the beams. The stairs to the first floor are open-tread and a bit steep.

You're welcome to walk around the farm. There's about 150 acres, with some woodland and a stream. The garden outside the barn is enclosed, with a patio and a little fountain. There's a children's play area too.

Seaton's about two miles away. It's got a long pebble beach and the Seaton Tramway. Lyme Regis is a short drive along the coast, maybe fifteen minutes. The Donkey Sanctuary is near there.

Colyton itself is a mile and a half. There's a shop there and a few pubs. The closest pub to the farm is about a mile's walk.

For a day out, Dartmoor is under an hour's drive. Exeter is about half an hour. The Jurassic Coast is right on the doorstep.

In terms of what's here: the heating comes from a wood pellet boiler, and we've got solar panels. There's a wood burner in the living room, a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's parking right outside. Sorry, no pets.

If you're looking into the area, the Jurassic Coast site has good information, and the National Trust has places like A la Ronde nearby.
