Stable Cottage
Stable Cottage is a converted barn on a quiet sheep farm near Colyton. It's at the end of a row of four barns. The main thing is the view. You look out over the Axe Valley towards Seaton.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, so it works for a few families. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The heating is from a wood biomass boiler and there are solar panels. You're free to walk over about 150 acres of the farm's fields and woods. There's an enclosed patio with a water feature. You'll see sheep and wildlife. There's a play area for children.
Seaton is about two miles away. It's got a long pebble beach and the Seaton Tramway. The South West Coast Path is there for walking. Lyme Regis is about a twenty minute drive. It's got the Cobb harbour and sailing.
Local things you might look up: the Donkey Sanctuary is near Sidmouth, Bicton Park Gardens are near Budleigh Salterton, and you can walk on the Blackdown Hills. Exeter and Dartmoor are within an hour.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. There's a wood burner, a BBQ, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. No pets, I'm afraid.
