Woodland View Lodge is up on our farm in Shute. It's one lodge, on its own, so you have it to yourselves. It sleeps four but it's one main bedroom with a kingsize bed, plus a sofa bed in the living area.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's modern, clean, and everything works. It's all on one level and there's a walk-in shower. The doors are wide enough for a wheelchair.
You get the garden and the patio. The hot tub is out there, facing the fields and the woods. It's private.
The farm has about thirty cows. You can walk on our land down to the stream, Umborne Brook. We have fishing rights there for half a mile, so if you've got a rod licence you can fish.
It's quiet here. The closest proper town is Axminster, about six miles away. That's where the River Cottage Canteen is. Honiton is seven miles for supermarkets and antique shops.
The coast is about twenty minutes in the car. Lyme Regis one way, Seaton the other. Sidmouth is a bit further, maybe half an hour. For walking, you've got the South West Coast Path or the East Devon Way inland.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are provided. No pets, I'm afraid.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust Devon page is useful for houses and coast. The East Devon National Landscape site has good walking information.
