Harvey Cottage is in Colyton. It's a terraced cottage, one in a row, built around 1851. There's a small walled courtyard out the back that's just for you.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom has a bath, the other is a shower room downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are normal, but there are a couple of extra steps up to the main bathroom from the landing.
You're right in the middle of the town. There are two small shops about a five-minute walk away, one has a post office. Two pubs are close by. The Gerrard Arms is practically on the corner. The Kingfisher is a bit further, maybe a ten-minute walk, and does good food.
The coast is about three miles away at Seaton. You can drive, or you can take the tram from Colyton station. It's a proper old tram that chugs down the valley to the sea. It goes past the Seaton Wetlands, which is good if you like birdwatching.
Other places nearby: Lyme Regis is about seven miles west, over the border in Dorset. Beer and Branscombe are lovely fishing villages, maybe a fifteen-minute drive. Axminster is about six miles north, where the River Cottage is. Honiton is known for antiques and is about a twenty-minute drive.
For walking, you've got the coast path and the East Devon Way inland. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here. If you're into golf, there's a course at Lyme Regis.
What's here: Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi, bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair if you need one. We've put in an electric vehicle charger. Sorry, no pets.
