Brimble Cottage
Brimble Cottage is on Raymond's Hill, about three miles inland from the coast at Lyme Regis. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls. You get your own garden and patio area with a barbecue. It looks out over the Axe Valley.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. It's a split-level layout inside, which means a couple of steps between the living room and kitchen area. The front door is a stable door, which is nice on a warm day.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. WiFi, TV, washing machine, all that stuff. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking right there.
The owners live nearby, but the cottage is separate. You might hear their chickens or see sheep in the fields. There's a local nature reserve and woodlands next to the property you can walk in.
For a pint or a meal, the nearest pub is about a mile away. The nearest shop is about the same.
Lyme Regis is ten minutes down the road. It's got the Cobb, the harbour, and a sandy beach. Axminster is about the same drive the other way. The Jurassic Coast is right there for walking. You can be at the Donkey Sanctuary or Seaton Tramway in under half an hour.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust in Dorset and National Trust in Devon sites are useful. For the coast path and parks, Dartmoor National Park is about an hour.
