Gardener's Rest is down a lane just outside Dalwood. It's one of two ground floor apartments in the main house. You're in the middle of about thirteen acres of gardens here, most of which you can wander around.
It's a one bedroom place, sleeps three. There's a sofa bed in the living area if you need it. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, furnished with some older pieces. Everything's on one level, which is handy. The kitchen area is part of the main living space.
You've got your own enclosed patio out the back with a table and chairs. There's parking right outside. WiFi and TV are included. Bedding is provided. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The village shop and pub are in Dalwood, about a mile and three quarters away. They're a nice walk if you don't mind the hill on the way back. The pub does food.
You're on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, so it's good walking country straight from the door. Axminster is about ten minutes by car for a bigger shop. The coast at Lyme Regis or Seaton is roughly half an hour's drive. Exeter is about forty minutes if you want a city day.
