It's called The Smithy. It's in the hamlet of Penn, up on the hill above Charmouth in Dorset. We live next door in the farmhouse.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The owners' description says it's cosy, which is about right. It's a converted stable, so the rooms are a good size but it's not a huge place.
The main thing is the view. You look west from the garden and patio over the Marshwood Vale. It's all fields and hedgerows. You get some good sunsets.
You're about two miles from the coast at Charmouth. That's a proper beach for fossil hunting and swimming. The Jurassic Coast information is useful if you're planning that. Lyme Regis is about ten minutes' drive.
For a walk, you can head down the lane into Charmouth and join the South West Coast Path. Or just wander the local footpaths. The whole area is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
In terms of facilities, it's got what you need: a washing machine, WiFi, TV, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a cot if you need them. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs.
There's an electric vehicle charger on site. The shop and the pub are in Charmouth, so you'll need to drive down the hill.
