Beachcomber Cottage is in Beer village, Devon. It's built from stone, about a hundred and twenty five years old. You're on a quiet street, just a few minutes walk to the beach. The main street with the shops and pubs is even closer.
It's a small, terraced cottage that sleeps six. There are three bedrooms upstairs, two doubles and one with twin beds. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are typical for a cottage, so they're a bit steeper than modern ones.
The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. There's a washing machine too. Bedding and towels are included. The sitting room has a gas fire and a large sofa. You can see the village from the front windows.
The garden is a real sun trap and it's private. It gets sun from late morning onwards. It's fully enclosed with a gate, so it's safe for dogs. Two dogs are welcome. There's a patio with a table and chairs, and a small lawn. The views are over the rooftops to the hills.
Beer is a small fishing village with a pebble beach. Low tide reveals rock pools. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs here. It's part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got Sidmouth, a Regency seaside town. Lyme Regis is over the border in Dorset. Seaton is very close by. Exeter is about forty minutes away if you need a city or the train station.
For planning days out, National Trust Devon and South Devon National Landscape have good information.
Accessibility note: the website listing says wheelchair accessible entrance, but please be aware the cottage is on a slight slope and there are steps down into the garden from the lane. The internal layout has steps between rooms. It's best to contact us directly if you have specific access questions.
