The Lodge is at Sunnygarth Farm, on the edge of Street village. It's a detached bungalow, so it's all on one level. There's a decent bit of parking right outside. The front garden is enclosed and mostly gravel with a decked bit and some furniture, which is handy if you've got a dog or kids.
It sleeps four with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is good for two couples or a small family. The main bedroom has its own shower room. Everything's modern and clean, and it's got a 4 Star rating. It's open plan inside, so the kitchen, dining and sitting area is all one room. There's a TV, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. We can leave a travel cot and a highchair if you need them.
Branscombe village is about ten minutes by car. It's a proper old Devon village, very pretty. The coast path is right there. You can walk to Beer one way or towards Sidmouth the other. Beer is a fishing village with a pebble beach. You can sometimes see the boats coming in.
If you're planning days out, Beer Quarry Caves are interesting. The Seaton Tramway goes along the river valley. For gardens, there's Bicton Park. The Donkey Sanctuary near Sidmouth is free to visit and good for a wander.
This whole bit of coast is part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Their websites have maps and walking ideas.
We accept up to two well-behaved dogs. All the bedding and towels are included.
