The Wheel House
The Wheel House is in Wiggaton, which is inland Devon. It's about five miles from Sidmouth on the coast. It's a detached barn conversion we did up a few years ago. The views are good. You can see right out over the valley towards Exeter and Dartmoor on a clear day.
It sleeps eight, but that's across three bedrooms. Two are big doubles, and one is a large bunk room with four beds. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and in good order.
Outside, there's a courtyard garden that gets the sun in the morning. It's private. You can sit out there.
The location is quiet, in the woods. For a shop or a pub, you need to drive about a mile and a half. The nearest coast is at Sidmouth, which is about a fifteen minute drive. From there, you can get to Exmouth, Branscombe, and Beer along the coast road. Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast are about forty minutes.
If you want a big day out, Exeter is twelve miles away. There's a cathedral and the usual city things. Dartmoor is about forty minutes drive for walking. Exmoor is a bit further, maybe an hour and a quarter.
In terms of what's here: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking for two cars on the drive. No pets, sorry.
