The Piglet
The Piglet is in Sidbury, up a quiet lane on the edge of the village. It's an apartment above our garage. It's for two people, one bedroom with an en-suite shower. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and everything works.
The main room is open plan. There's a bed at one end and a small kitchen area at the other. The underfloor heating in the bathroom is good when it's chilly. The views from the windows are over the fields towards the river.
You're in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The East Devon Way footpath runs right past the property, so you can step out and start walking. There's a garden spot about a hundred yards away, down by the river and a little waterfall. It's a nice place to sit.
The village shop and the pub are a five-minute walk. The pub does food. Sidmouth is two miles away for the beach and more shops. The Jurassic Coast Path is right there.
For a longer day out, Exeter is about half an hour's drive. Dartmoor and Exmoor are both within an hour. There are several National Trust houses and coastline nearby too.
Facilities: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, and storage for bikes if you bring them. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if needed. Sorry, no pets.
