The Moat House
The Moat House is in Cudworth. It's a hamlet so it's very quiet. You're down a lane off another lane. It's a thatched, detached cottage.
It was done up in 2022. We kept the old beams and the oak panelling in the dining room. The kitchen is new. Everything works. There's a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, and a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one with a bath upstairs and a walk-in shower downstairs. That's handy if someone's muddy.
The garden is a proper lawn and it looks out over fields. At the back, there's an old barn with a cover over part of it. That's where the hot tub is. There's a games area in there too.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well finished and comfortable. Everything is included, like bedding and towels.
For shops, Chard and Ilminster are a few miles away. They've got supermarkets and a few places to eat. For a bigger town, Yeovil or Taunton are about twenty five minutes by car.
The coast at Lyme Regis is just over twenty minutes drive. It's a good beach day.
If you like walking, Ham Hill Country Park is close by. There are a few National Trust places within half an hour, like Barrington Court and Montacute House.
There's parking on the drive. No pets, sorry.
