Gwynant Lodge

Gwynant Lodge is a modern lodge near Caernarfon. One of a row of four, but it's detached so you've got your own space. You can walk into town in about ten or fifteen minutes.

It sleeps five. Two bedrooms: one king-sized double, and another room with a bunk bed and a single. There's also a sofa bed in the lounge. One bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The layout is open-plan, kitchen and lounge all together. It works. The garden has a patio and a private hot tub. You get one parking space right outside.

Facilities are all there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

Caernarfon itself is good for a wander. The castle is the main thing, it's a UNESCO World Heritage site. For beaches, Dinas Dinlle is about a ten minute drive west. It's sand and shingle, good for a walk.

You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. The Snowdonia National Park authority site is useful for planning. Llanberis is a twenty minute drive. You can get the mountain railway up Snowdon from there, or walk it if you're feeling energetic.

Anglesey is over the bridge, maybe twenty five minutes to the coast. South Stack is good for seabirds. If you head the other way, the Llŷn Peninsula is about half an hour and feels a bit quieter.
