This is Beudy Mawr. It’s a converted barn on our working farm, about two miles outside Caernarfon. There’s a row of a few cottages here, but yours is separate and you get your own enclosed patio garden. It looks out over the farmyard and fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom, all on the ground floor. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s clean, comfortable and warm, with everything you’d need. It’s not huge, but it’s a good base.
You’re on the farm, so you’ll see sheep and tractors coming and going. The track up to the cottages is a farm track, so it’s a bit bumpy in places.
Caernarfon town centre is a short drive. The castle is the main thing. It's a proper medieval fortress. The town walls and the harbour are worth a look too. There’s a supermarket, some decent pubs and the usual shops.
You’re well placed for getting out. The main reason people stay here is for Snowdonia. Llanberis is about fifteen minutes’ drive. That’s where you get the Snowdon Mountain Railway up to the summit. The pass is just beyond it for getting into the heart of the park.
If you head the other way, you’re on the Isle of Anglesey in about twenty minutes. There are good beaches there, like Newborough. The Llyn Peninsula coast is also within half an hour for more beaches.
A couple of big attractions nearby are Zip World, which has that fast zip line, and Surf Snowdonia, the artificial surfing lake. Both are about a twenty minute drive.
For facilities, you’ve got the washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
