Cae Ocyn is an old farmhouse near Llangaffo on Anglesey. It's from the 1600s and built from local granite. It's detached and very quiet. You get it to yourself.
The lane down to it is about a quarter of a mile long. It's single track. It goes downhill, and the last bit is unmade. You drive over a cattle grid just before the house. The parking is right there. The house is sheltered by woods and fields. There are red squirrels about, which is nice.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. Towels and bedding are included. There's a TV, a garden with a patio, and a games room. There's also a highchair if you need one. No pets, sorry.
You're about ten minutes in the car from some good sandy beaches. The coast path is easily accessible for walks. For things to do, the Anglesey Sea Zoo is close by, and Beaumaris has its castle and the old courthouse and jail. The RSPB bird reserve at South Stack is a short drive away.
Snowdonia is within half an hour if you fancy mountains. You can get to the edge of the National Park quite quickly.
