Cae Ocyn is a farmhouse from the 1600s, made of granite. It's down a quarter-mile lane, which turns rough and stony for the last bit, past a cattle grid. So you have to drive a little slower there. It's completely detached, so there's no one attached to you at all.
It's got three bedrooms and sleeps six. One bathroom. The rating is 3 Star. It means it's clean and comfortable, not luxury. And you should know the stairs are old. They're steep in places and a bit narrow. Just take your time.
The garden is yours, with a patio. It's very quiet, surrounded by trees and small fields. This area is good for the red squirrels, so you might see them.
There's a garage which we've made into a games room. It has a table tennis table and a dartboard. It's useful if the weather turns.
For beaches, you're only about ten minutes by car from Newborough, which has sand dunes and a forest. Llanddona is a bit closer, maybe five minutes, and it's a long, sandy beach too. Beaumaris is a nice town to walk around, with its castle. The National Trust looks after Plas Newydd, which is nearby.
The house is fairly central on the island. You can get to Holyhead, or over the bridge to the mainland, in about half an hour. Snowdonia is within that half-hour drive if you want to go walking.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, TV, a highchair. Plenty of parking. Sorry, no pets allowed.
