This is Beudy Bach, one of the cottages at Parciau Farm. It's a working farm just off the road into Caernarfon. You're about two miles from the town centre, so you've got fields and animals around you but you can be in Caernarfon in five minutes by car.
The cottage is for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's all on the ground floor so there are no stairs to worry about. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's a converted farm building, so the rooms are a good size but the layout is fairly straightforward. Everything you'd need is there: a proper kitchen area with a dishwasher and washing machine, a TV, WiFi. There's an enclosed patio area with a table and chairs that gets the sun. You can park right outside.
Being on a farm, you'll see sheep and hear the usual farm sounds. The owners are around if you need anything. There's a shared play area if you're visiting with other families, and they can sometimes arrange a crèche in the school holidays if you ask ahead.
For a pint or a meal, you'd drive into Caernarfon or to the nearest village, which is about two miles. The main reason to be here is the location. You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. You can be at the foot of Snowdon in Llanberis in about 15 minutes to get on the mountain railway. The whole National Park is on your doorstep for walking.
Caernarfon itself is worth a day. The castle is the main thing, it's huge and right on the seafront. There are plenty of shops and places to eat. If you want activity places, Zip World Fforest and Surf Snowdonia are both within a 20-30 minute drive. Anglesey is just over the bridge, maybe 20 minutes away, for beaches like Newborough.
Useful links if you're planning: Snowdonia National Park, Caernarfon Town, and National Trust Wales for places like Penrhyn Castle.
No pets, sorry.
