Tan Yr Ardd Bach

Tan Yr Ardd Bach is a one bedroom cottage in Rhos Isaf. Sleeps two. It's down a quiet lane. The name just means 'small field garden'.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well kept. Everything is on the ground floor which is handy. The doorways are wide and it's step free to get in, so it works for wheelchair users. The shower is walk-in.

Inside it's open plan. Living area, kitchen, dining bit all in one room. There's a wood burning stove for the evenings. The bedroom is through an archway. The bed is a good one, with decent bedding. It's all quite new and clean.

Outside there's a private, enclosed garden with a patio. It's got a table and chairs and a BBQ. There's a little stream at the bottom of the garden. You can hear the water which is nice.

The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.

You can bring up to three dogs. There's a field next door that's part of a working farm, so you need to keep dogs on a lead around there.

Location wise: there's a shop and a pub in Bontnewydd, about a mile away. Dinas Dinlle beach is a five mile drive. It's a good beach with a big car park. You can see Anglesey from there.

You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. Llanberis, for the Snowdon Mountain Railway, is about a 20 minute drive. The castle in Caernarfon is about 15 minutes away. It's a Caernarfon Castle UNESCO site. For something different, Zip World is around 30 minutes drive inland.
