Stabal Eithinog is in Penygroes. It's up a farm track, so your car will get a bit dusty. The place used to be a farm building. It's on its own now, surrounded by fields with sheep in them. It's quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. The beds are good. It's got a 5 Star rating, which basically means everything works and it's well finished.
Inside, it's all open plan. Kitchen, dining, living area in one big room. There's a wood burner. The sofas are comfortable. Outside, there's an enclosed garden and a hot tub. You can see the mountains from it.
The coast is about two miles away. Dinas Dinlle beach is the closest. It's a good beach for a walk, looking out over to Anglesey. For a bigger day out, Caernarfon Castle is about nine miles. It's a proper medieval castle, a UNESCO site. Cadw website for Caernarfon Castle.
Porthmadog is about a 25 minute drive. That's where you can get the Welsh Highland Railway steam train. Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways. Snowdonia is right on your doorstep for walking. The main path up Snowdon itself is about a 25 minute drive, from Pen-y-Pass.
There's a shop about a mile and a half away. A pub and restaurant are just under two miles. They do food.
Practical stuff: parking for two cars right outside. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
This cottage is next to another one called Eithinog Ganol. You can book them together if you've got a bigger group.
