Crib Y Nantlle
Crib y Nantlle is in Tai'n Iôn, which is right on the edge of Snowdonia. It's a detached stone cottage, converted from an old farm building. We live next door.
The main thing is the view. You look straight up the Nantlle Valley towards Snowdon, and out over Caernarfon Bay to Anglesey. It's good with a cup of tea in the morning.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. The space is open plan downstairs. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The WiFi is fine.
You're a mile from the beach. The nearest shop is about three miles away in Llanwnda. The closest pub that does food is four miles. For a bigger shop or more choice, Caernarfon is six miles. They've got the castle and plenty of places to eat.
You're perfectly placed for walking or cycling straight from the door into the hills. For a proper trip, the Welsh Highland Railway starts in Caernarfon. Snowdon itself is about a 30-minute drive if you want to climb it or get the train up. Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsula are within half an hour for different beaches.
Things here: the garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. We allow two. There's parking right outside. You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and we include the bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
