Hyfrydle Cottage

Hyfrydle Cottage is in Talysarn, just outside Caernarfon. It's a terraced cottage. It sleeps four, across two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is useful. One is a wet room on the ground floor.

It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped. It's clean and mostly modern inside. The wood burner is good for cooler evenings. There's WiFi and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.

You can bring up to three dogs. The garden is enclosed, so that's safe for them. There's a stairgate fitted as well.

The location is the main thing. You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. The views from the front are over fields towards the mountains. It's quiet. The nearest proper beach, like Dinas Dinlle, is about five miles away.

The Pant Du Vineyard is less than a mile up the road. They do tours and a restaurant. Caernarfon is a ten-minute drive. The castle is the big draw there, but there are shops and places to eat. You can hire bikes or go sailing from there too.

For walking, you're straight into the national park. The Welsh Highland Railway station is in Caernarfon, and that takes you right into the mountains. If you want to go up Snowdon itself, the Rhyd Ddu path start is about a fifteen-minute drive.

Useful links: Snowdonia National Park, Caernarfon Castle, and Visit Wales North Wales for general ideas.

A couple of things to know. The stairs inside are a bit steep and narrow. It's a cottage, so that's normal, but worth mentioning. Also, while it says 'Christmas Themed', that just means we put up a tree and some decorations if you're staying over the Christmas week.
