Gwyrfai Cottage is in Betws Garmon. It's a mid-terrace place on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the garden. It's fully enclosed and looks right out onto the Welsh Highland Railway line. You see the steam trains going past. The track is close, so you hear them. It's not loud in the house, but you'll know they're there. They're nice to watch.
There's a small conservatory that leads out there. The stairs inside are narrow and steep. They're proper cottage stairs.
The train stop is a short walk away. There's a pub right by the stop that's also a brewery. It's about half a mile. The local shop is a mile.
For walking, the Snowdon Ranger Path is just a few minutes' drive. That takes you up Snowdon. Caernarfon Castle is about ten minutes by car. Penrhyn Castle is near Bangor, maybe twenty-five minutes.
The beaches are on Anglesey or the Lleyn Peninsula. They're a fifteen to twenty minute drive. Good sand.
Facilities: there's a woodburner, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Parking for one car. You can bring two dogs. We can put a large dog crate in if you need one. Bedding and towels are included, and there's a cot and highchair.
