Delfryn is in Talysarn, which is up in the Nantlle Valley. It's a quarryman's cottage from way back. The main thing is the view. You look right out over the valley towards Moel Tryfan. It's a proper outlook.
It's a 3 Star place. That means it's clean and comfortable but not posh. It sleeps two, which is a bit odd because it's got three bedrooms. They're small, but you've got the space to spread out. The bathroom has a good walk-in shower. It's new.
The stairs are steep. That's just how these cottages were built. There's an enclosed garden at the front. You can sit out there with a drink and just look at the view.
You can walk straight from the door. The old Dorothea Quarry is nearby to explore. For a proper mountain day, you can drive east to Rhyd Ddu - it's about twenty minutes. That's one of the paths up Snowdon and a stop on the Welsh Highland Railway.
Caernarfon is fifteen minutes by car. The castle is the big thing there. It's a UNESCO site. There are shops and pubs. The beach at Dinas Dinlle is about the same drive. It's a nice stretch, you can see Anglesey from there.
If you want to go further, the Llyn Peninsula is about forty minutes. Anglesey is half an hour or so. Both have good beaches.
It's got WiFi, TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
