Hen Dy
This is Hen Dy. It's in Bryncir, which is in Gwynedd. It's a detached stone cottage.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a solid 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable. The stairs up to the bedrooms are steep. They're old cottage stairs.
The main thing about the place is its age. We had the timbers tested and they're from 1550. It's a proper old building. There's a big inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. It heats the whole room.
You've got your own enclosed garden. There's parking right outside.
Inside, there's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. WiFi is okay, but it's the countryside so it's not super fast. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
There's a good pub about a mile away, on the main road. The closest big beach is Black Rock Sands. It's all sand and you can drive on it. The Llyn Peninsula is just west of here. That's where you'll find all the little coves and harbours. The coast path goes right around it.
If you want to explore, Portmeirion is about a 25 minute drive. Criccieth Castle is closer, maybe 20 minutes. For the mountains, Snowdonia is about 30 minutes drive to the east. You can be at the foot of Snowdon itself in not much more than half an hour.
