Wendon
Wendon is our place in Criccieth. It's an end-of-terrace cottage on a quiet street. You can see the sea from the front.
It sleeps four. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The bathroom is on the ground floor, just so you know.
You can walk to the beach and the castle in a few minutes. There's a small supermarket about the same distance, and a couple of pubs. The one up the hill does decent food.
The cottage has a fully enclosed back garden, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. We allow up to two. There's a washing machine, wifi, and parking for one car on the street outside.
Criccieth is a good spot for exploring. Snowdonia is about half an hour's drive. You can get to Porthmadog for the Ffestiniog Railway in fifteen minutes, and Portmeirion is just past that.
