Plas Bryn Hir is a Georgian house in Criccieth. It's a listed building, so it's got a lot of original features. It sleeps thirteen people in six bedrooms. There are five bathrooms, which helps when you've got a big group.
The house is set back from the road, up its own drive. You get a lot of privacy. The grounds are mature, lots of lawn and trees. You can sit out on the veranda at the front.
Inside, the rooms are big. The main living space is in what was the ballroom, at the back of the house. It has a big wood burner, sofas, and a long dining table. The kitchen is well equipped with a Rangemaster oven. There's a separate, more formal sitting room and a library.
A thing to note: the house is on three floors. The stairs are the original ones, so they are wide but they can be a bit creaky. That's just how an old house is.
Criccieth centre is a short walk away. There's a castle, beaches, shops, and places to eat. The town has a proper seaside feel to it.
For days out, you're well placed. The Snowdonia National Park starts not far inland. Portmeirion is about twenty minutes down the coast. The National Trust looks after a few properties and beaches nearby, like Penrhyn Castle and Aberdulais Tin Works.
As for facilities, it's got what you'd need. WiFi, parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a games room and an electric vehicle charger. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
If you have an even bigger group, you can rent this house alongside two cottages in the grounds, called Bwthyn yr Ardd and Bwthyn Stabal.
