Sunnyside Cottage is a two-up two-down stone cottage just off the main square in Tremadog. It's for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything works, it's clean and it's warm, which is the main thing.
The front door opens straight into the living room. There's a woodburning stove and we leave you some logs to get going. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, typical for a cottage this old. The kitchen is at the back. It's small but it's got a dishwasher. There's a TV and the WiFi is decent.
You can park right outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
Tremadog itself is quiet. There are two pubs and a restaurant within a few minutes' walk. The chip shop is good. There's a little shop for basics. For a big supermarket, you drive to Porthmadog, which is about five minutes away.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia here. If you want to walk up Snowdon, the Rhyd Ddu path is about a 20 minute drive. For something easier, the footpaths around Beddgelert are close. The coast is just a few miles the other way. Black Rock Sands is a big beach you can drive onto, which is useful with a dog.
Porthmadog has the harbour and the Ffestiniog Railway station. Portmeirion is a strange and interesting place, about a ten minute drive. It's good for a wander.
