The Hollies Lodge

The Hollies Lodge is in Prenteg, just outside Porthmadog. It's a new build lodge from 2021, detached and set back in the trees. You get a fair bit of decking out the front which looks into the woods. It's peaceful.

It sleeps six but with two bedrooms, so it's a bit of a squeeze. One king size with an en-suite, and one twin room. There's a separate family bathroom as well. It's a 4 Star place, so it's in good nick and comfortable. Everything's on the ground floor which is handy.

You're right in the Snowdonia National Park. The site itself has the Aberdunant Hall Hotel about 500 yards away, which has a restaurant. You'll need to book. There are dog walks from the door.

For shops and a pub, you'd drive to Tremadog, about two miles. It's a small place with a shop, a couple of pubs, and a chip shop.

Porthmadog is close. It's a proper harbour town with the Welsh Highland Railway. Black Rock Sands is a big beach you can drive onto, about four miles away. Portmeirion, that Italianate village, is very close. Beddgelert village is under ten minutes by car and worth the trip for the scenery.

For bigger days out, Snowdon itself is within half an hour for walking or the train. Zip World and Bounce Below are about a 20-30 minute drive. The Antur Stiniog bike trails are up in Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Facilities are what you'd expect: parking, WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
