This is Bargoed. It's in Minffordd, just off the main road between Porthmadog and Penrhyndeudraeth. It's a three bedroom place and sleeps six. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The garden is yours to use. There's a patio area and a woodburning stove inside for cooler evenings. All the bedding and towels are provided, and the WiFi usually works fine. You can bring two dogs.

There's a pub about a mile away that does food. For the beach, Black Rock Sands is about three miles. It's a big, wide beach with dunes, good for a run or a walk. Despite the name, the sand isn't particularly black.

Porthmadog is five minutes in the car. That's where you get the steam trains. The Ffestiniog Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway both run from there. It's a good day out, especially to Beddgelert.

Portmeirion is about ten minutes away. It's that Italianate village. It's strange and interesting. You pay to get in, but it's worth a look.

Harlech is a bit further down the coast, maybe twenty minutes. The castle is huge and the beach is nice. The Royal St David's golf course is there if that's your thing.

If you head inland towards Blaenau Ffestiniog, there's a lot to do. That's where Zip World and Bounce Below are. It's about a thirty minute drive. Good if you've got energetic people with you.

For walking, you're on the edge of Snowdonia. The Snowdonia National Park site has route ideas. National Trust Snowdonia is another useful link for places like Hafod y Llan.

That's about it. The place is clean, it's comfortable, and you're well located for the coast and the hills.
