Fron Cottage is in Minffordd, just outside Portmeirion. It's a terrace cottage. You get a decent bit of garden to yourselves out the front. It's enclosed, which is good for dogs. The view from there is good, over fields and the estuary.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxury. The walls are a bit thin sometimes, you can hear neighbours. The garden gets the sun in the afternoon.
Portmeirion village is about five minutes' walk. It's worth the visit. You can walk through the woods from there down to a small beach. The National Trust Snowdonia site is good for planning walks. There's a pub in the village too.
Beaches are close. Black Rock Sands is about ten minutes by car, where you can drive on the sand. Harlech beach is fifteen minutes, with the castle up on the hill. Borth-y-Gest is a bit closer, with little coves.
For a bigger day out, Snowdonia is right there. You can drive into the national park in about twenty minutes. Porthmadog is a couple of miles away for shops.
Facilities: There's a washing machine, parking for one car right outside, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding is included. You can bring two dogs.
